A seed phrase written on ordinary paper is one house fire away from gone. These are printed on flame-retardant stock — the kind rated for commercial interiors, M1 and DIN 4102 B1 — and laid out so the phrase is still readable in twenty years by someone who is frightened and in a hurry.
Every card is double-sided. A 24-word field on one face, a 12-word field on the other. One card covers whichever length your wallet gave you, so you are never holding the wrong one.

The XRP Ledger edition writes your backup in the ledger’s own formats rather than as words. This card carries both of them: secret numbers — eight rows of six digits, the format Xaman shows — on one face, and the family seed, the single line beginning with s, on the other.
Both faces open the same account. They are two spellings of one 16-byte secret, which is why it is safe to put them on one card. Either one restores everything.
If your ceremony gave you a 24-word phrase instead, that is the other path — use the standard card above, not this one.

Write on one side only. It is printed on the card itself, and it is the single most important thing on it.
Two phrases on one piece of paper is one fire, one theft, one misplacement away from taking out two wallets instead of one. On the standard card the two faces are different lengths, not different halves of one backup — your wallet gave you twelve words or twenty-four, never both. On the XRP Ledger card the rule reads differently and deliberately so: both faces there describe the same account, so writing both is correct and is the point.
Write the card during the ceremony, then read every word back against the screen before you pull the plug. After the destruction event the phrase cannot be re-read, so a transcription error found later cannot be fixed. That moment is the only chance to catch it, which is why the instruction is printed where you will be looking.
The card artwork is not a secret and never will be. Four cards tile an A4 sheet exactly, with two straight cuts and nothing wasted, and we will publish the PDF so anyone can print it on their own stock. You are buying the paper and the cutting, not permission.
