This is the entire process, written for someone who has never done anything like it. No accounts, no apps, no internet.
Plug the stick into a PC or Intel Mac, restart, and tap the boot-menu key as it powers on (usually F12, F10, or Esc — your card lists common ones). Pick the USB stick from the menu. On Apple Silicon Macs, use the for Mac edition instead: open the app on the stick and it runs the ceremony in a sealed, network-less sandbox.
What just happened matters: your computer’s own system — with its browser extensions, its downloads, its possible malware — never started. The machine is temporarily a single-purpose appliance that has never touched the internet.
The appliance gathers cryptographic randomness from the hardware, and then asks for yours: roll dice and type the results, or mash the keyboard. This isn’t a gimmick — it’s the single most battle-tested defense in this product. Your rolls are blended in so that even a compromised machine cannot weaken your key. You’ll see plain-language progress the whole way (“gathering randomness…”) — a short wait is deliberate, not a bug.
The screen shows your seed phrase (12 or 24 words) and your receive addresses for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. Copy the words onto paper, in order, carefully. The appliance then asks you to confirm a few of the words back — verifying your backup before any money is involved, because a mistranscribed word discovered later is a catastrophe.
The addresses are public and safe to keep anywhere — email them to yourself, print them, whatever. They’re the deposit slot, not the key.
When you’re done, cut the power — hold the power button or pull the cord. The environment that held your key lives entirely in the computer’s temporary memory, which loses everything within moments of losing power. No disk was ever mounted. Nothing was written. The birthplace of your key no longer exists.
Send funds to your addresses whenever you like — tomorrow or for the next decade. Your seed phrase never needs to touch an internet-connected device until the far-off day you decide to spend. When that day comes, restore it in any standard wallet — yours restores in all of them, by design.
